Dog vs. Micropython a talk by Łukasz Mach

Friday 15 September 17:20 (30 minutes)
__main__

How to train a dog using µpython@esp32? How to teach him to behave himself with a few programming tricks? How hard is it and why is rapid prototyping not really rapid?

I’m a software developer and I should think like a developer. When I need to care for my dog, I should think about IT, IoT, ESP32, µPy and other acronyms.

I will tell you about my programming adventures for saving my dog from boredom, how I have tried to make him a good dog when someone pays a visit, and how I tried to solve the problem with his separation anxiety.

I will describe many failures and a few little successes, what I have learned, and what surprised me. Eg: that hardware is way harder to grasp than software, that 3d-print rapid prototyping is not so rapid. You can find ready components for everything, except the thing you’re looking for.

And that perfect is the enemy of good – in other words: MVP approach.
