Git under the hood a talk by Dariusz Aniszewski

You know what git is. You most likely use it on a daily basis. You know how to create a branch and push changes to a remote. No questions asked.
But do you really know what’s going on when you git commit? How is the hash calculated and what does it mean that branches have been merged? Should you be worried by a detached HEAD?
In my talk, I want to explain how a Git repo is made, what it contains and how it stores data. I will show, step by step, what is happening under the hood in a typical Git flow you do every day.
