GraphQL is the new black
a talk by Tomáš Ehrlich
REST is a standard for writing APIs, but there might be a better way. GraphQL is a query language which makes APIs more flexible and easier to evolve over time. It gives clients the power to ask for exactly what they need which results in optimized bandwidth, server usage but also allows writing declarative UIs.
The talk will compare GraphQL with REST API to show the differences and advantages as well as real examples.
Ministry of Python warns: This talk might include a bit of JavaScript.
This talk is suitable for both beginner and advanced Pythonistas.
Tomáš Ehrlich
I'm a full-stack developer on a project which uses GraphQL - I'm dealing with this technology both from client and server perspective.
Even after several months, I haven't lost the enthusiasm for this new technology and I consider it as a standard for implementing APIs in my projects.
